Minutes of the last meeting and matters
arising
The minutes of the last meeting were agreed.
RSm has still been unable to contact Roberto Bruni with regards to the Housemark video, but another contact has been proposed by the name of Kent Barker, details will be given by Nicola or Carmen. RSm has also informed the group that the 1.2 contract will be extended for a further 6 months subject to approval by the TMO still a zero cost to themselves.
H2H
Update
The recommendation that the TMO continues to employ Carmen still stands, if this measure is approved RSm will meet with Pauline and review terms of reference.
H2H Ltd
RSm has informed the group that the bank account has not been opened as we are still awaiting paperwork and there have been no new commissions as yet, but some are in the pipeline.
Current
Issues
RO used the opportunity to thank the TMO for fixing the air conditioning unit in the server room and to explain that the system is currently being rebuilt and the interface is being set to accommodate new channels. (SN is currently finishing the configurations). On completion it will be able to host all free-view channels including ITV 2 and 3 with a much better quality service. Carmen will need to upload video content onto the servers with everything hopefully completed by September 19th 2005.
In order to keep an accurate record of equipment, RO suggested a list of all STB users names and addresses be compiled.
RO informed the group that even with repairs being made and the system not being 100% perfect, usage has still been constant. RO went on to explain some differences in original 'G' cluster, one being that the ADSL lines that were used are now run per user. he remarked that as there was no definite confirmation that Newham Council will finance the eventual swap, Newham.net are doing this at their own risk.
RSm suggested that a support contract be drawn up to cover 1,2 and 3 third line support, he also suggested that H2H ltd will fund the relaunch party provisionally set for 06/10.05
Extension of Carpenters Connect
RO is still awaiting the delivery of face plates for East Thames and will need to evaluate this issue, with work under way.
