Benton's "Best Practices Toolkit" http://www.benton.org/Practice/Toolkit is a list of Internet and other resources aimed at helping non-profits make better use of information and communications technologies in their work.

Free accredited Internet training

The Getting On-line programme is available to anyone living in England aged 16 or over with access to a modem. There are currently NO FEES either for registration or for participation in any courses available through the GO Programme. Courses on Advanced Internet Training and HTML Tools are currently available, and more new courses are planned for 1998.

Further information and details of how to register as a GO learner can be found at: http://www.idea.org.uk/GO/introduction Getting On-line training courses are delivered by IDEA (Innovation in Electronic and Digital Arts) and IAC, the Internet Application Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University.

"The Virtual Activist," is a comprehensive training course on cyber-activism for people who want to use technology effectively for grassroots organizing, outreach, and advocacy. There are now 35 people subscribed to the Core mailing list and a new mailing list for the ten Steering Group members was launched in March.
